Here at stickee we are passionate about helping out and raising money for charity.
Taking place on Thursday 13th July, to raise money for charity, we took on the Tour de France cycle Challenge. All the money raised was donated to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham Charity. Through JustGiving our team and their families donated money.
We had two stationary bikes set up in the break area, and they both had monitors on them so our team could see how far they cycled within their allotted time. After they had finished cycling, they wrote down the distance that they had travelled, to see how they compared to others!
Our employees cycled for 30 minutes non-stop in pairs. For some, it was competitive to see who could get further; however for most it was a friendly battle, but for everyone it was about having fun and raising money for a good cause.
Our very own baking expert Jen made the team some delicious sugary treats to keep the energy levels up. The peanut butter and oreo cheesecake and vegan chocolate chip banana bread were quickly cleaned up by the hungry team!
By the end of the challenge we had managed to raise over £700 for the charity. If you would like to donate to this cause, you can do so through our page on JustGiving.
